United Community Services is a non-profit organization located in the heart of Reading and serving all Berks County families. Our mission is “to build community partnerships which will assess community economic, educational, and social needs, and develop strategies for delivering programs to meet those needs.”

Our community partners are many and varied; they range from school districts to workforce development to community-based organizations. Our partners enhance our community impact and together with our experienced staff and our commitment make United Community Services unique.

What We Do

We connect working families to community resources.
We help working families with their basic needs.
We help workers improve the workplace.
We provide information and training on young workers’ issues.
We prepare youth for apprenticeships.
